Transform
Move your data without losing any of it
We migrate records from old systems, spreadsheets, and paper into your new platform with scripted, repeatable steps. Every record is counted, every identifier kept, and anything that doesn't fit is reported for a person to decide.
Sources
- Old database
- Spreadsheets
- Paper records
New platform
- Clients
- Policies
- History
- Processed
- Carried over
- Exceptions reported
- IDs kept
Migration is where new systems go wrong
Old data is messier than anyone thinks.
Duplicates, misspelled place names, missing fields, and records that broke the old system's own rules.
Import tools fail quietly.
Records that don't fit are skipped, and nobody notices until a customer calls.
There's no proof.
Without a reconciliation report, nobody can show the auditor, the board, or the regulator that nothing was lost.
What we do
A migration you can rehearse, repeat, and prove
We treat migration as software, not a one-off copy. Each step is a script that runs in a fixed order, so we can rehearse the whole migration on a copy of your live data as many times as needed before the real cutover. Data is cleaned and standardized on the way, identifiers are preserved so links between records survive, and every record is reconciled from source to destination.

- Profiling of the source data before anything moves
- Ordered, scripted migration steps you can re-run and review
- Cleaning and standardization, such as matching place names against an official list
- Identifiers preserved, so history, documents, and links stay connected
- Reconciliation counts from source to destination
- An exceptions report for every record that needs a human decision
What you get
Data assessment
What you have, where it lives, how good it is, and how it maps to the new system.
Mapping specification
Field-by-field rules for how old data becomes new data, agreed with your team.
Migration scripts
Ordered, version-controlled, re-runnable steps.
Rehearsal runs
Full test migrations against a recent copy of your production data.
Migration and exceptions reports
Counts processed and carried over for each type of record, plus every record that needs a decision and why.
Cutover plan
Timing, freeze window, rollback, and sign-off steps.
How it works
- 1About 1 week
Profile
List every source, measure data quality, and find duplicates and gaps.
- 2
Map and agree the rules
Field-by-field mapping and cleaning rules, signed off by your team.
- 3
Script and rehearse
Build the migration as ordered scripts and run it against a production snapshot until the counts reconcile.
- 4
Resolve exceptions
Your team decides on each flagged record, and the decisions are built into the scripts.
- 5
Cut over and verify
Run the final migration in an agreed window, reconcile, and hand over the reports.
Typical duration depends on data volume and the number of sources; we confirm it after profiling.
10,000+ records moved, every one accounted for
When we rebuilt a nationwide livestock insurance platform, the production data from the first-generation system had to come with it, without disrupting the field teams who use the system every day. Ordered SQL scripts moved the old database into the new schema, preserved every identifier, normalized district names against the national list, and produced an exceptions report for the handful of records that needed a human decision.
10,000+
Farmer and policyholder records carried into the new platform (10,665 client and 10,001 user rows processed)

Release history

Case study
Livestock Insurance Management System
A first-generation system rebuilt, with its production data carried into the new platform by ordered, audited scripts.

Case study
Health Insurance Claims Administration Platform
Onboards employers and thousands of employees and dependents through validated spreadsheet batches, with versioned database migrations.

Case study
CSat: Customer Satisfaction and NPS Surveys
Imports customer lists from CSV in the background, with duplicate detection and merging.
Why Biznovelty
We've moved live production data.
A nationwide insurance program's records, carried into a new platform while the field teams kept working.
Everything is scripted and repeatable.
Rehearse as often as needed; the final run is the one you already tested.
Nothing disappears silently.
Every record is counted, and every exception is reported with its reason.
We often build the destination too.
When we're also building or modernizing the new platform, mapping decisions match how it actually works.
Engagement & pricing
Assessment first, then a fixed quote
A short profiling step tells us what you have; the migration is then quoted at a fixed price.
Standalone or part of a build
As its own project, or as part of Legacy Modernization or Custom Platform Development.
Your data stays protected
NDA before access, work on copies in an environment you approve, and access limited to the migration team.
Frequently asked questions
Old databases, spreadsheets, CSV files, and exports from other systems. Paper records need to be digitized first; where it makes sense, we can read scanned or photographed documents with AI and have people check what it extracts (see AI Agents & Automation).

In a 30-minute call we'll outline the risks, the rehearsal plan, and what we need to give you a fixed quote.
