Transform
Modernize the system your business runs on, without stopping the business
Legacy system modernization, done step by step. We assess what you have, rebuild it in stages on a modern stack, carry your data across with an audit trail, and leave you with a system that's ready for AI.
Current system
- Core application
- Shared database
- Built-in reports
New platform
- Clean API
- Policy service
- Claims service
- Field app
- 1 · API in front
- 2 · Rebuild in stages
- 3 · Migrate and switch over
Old systems don't fail all at once. They get harder every year.
Every change is a risk.
Nobody is sure what a fix will break, so releases slow down and requests pile up.
The data can't be trusted.
Years of inconsistent entries make reports, integrations, and audits painful.
New tools can't connect.
Without clean APIs and data, mobile apps, partner integrations, and AI assistants have nothing to connect to.
What we do
Modernization in stages, with the business running throughout
We don't start with a big-bang rewrite. We map what the current system does, including the rules nobody wrote down, and decide what to keep, what to wrap, and what to replace. We put a clean API in front of the old system, clean and migrate the data, and replace the system piece by piece, so your teams keep working while the new one takes over. We use AI tools to help read and document old code faster, and our engineers check every rule against how your business actually runs.

- An assessment of the code, data, integrations, and risks
- An API layer, so new apps and AI can connect before the rebuild is finished
- Data cleanup and an audited migration
- Stage-by-stage replacement on a modern stack
- Automated tests and release pipelines
- A first AI feature once the foundations are in place
What you get
A modernization assessment
What the system does, where the risks are, and a staged plan with costs.
Documented business rules
The rules hidden in old code, written down and agreed with your team.
A new platform, released in stages
Backend, web, and mobile, with each stage live before the next begins.
Clean, migrated data
Delivered with a migration report and an exceptions list for records that need a human decision.
A test suite and release pipeline
So future changes are safe and routine.
AI-ready foundations
Clean APIs and data that AI agents and integrations can use.
How it works
- 1
Assess
Map the current system's code, data, integrations, and users, and agree what to keep, wrap, or replace.
- 2
Stabilize and wrap
Put an API layer in front of the old system and add tests around the most critical paths.
- 3
Rebuild in stages
Replace one part at a time on a modern stack; each stage goes live before the next.
- 4
Migrate the data
Ordered, repeatable migration scripts with a report and an exceptions list.
- 5
Switch over and run
Retire the old system, then operate and extend the new one, or hand over to your team.
Typical duration depends on the size of the system. Our second-generation livestock insurance platform went from first commit to production in 6 months.
A full rebuild, live without disrupting the field
The first-generation system behind a nationwide livestock insurance program had grown hard to extend, carried inconsistent legacy data, and couldn't support the release pace the field operation needed. We rebuilt it on Java 25 and Spring Boot 4 and migrated more than ten thousand farmer records without disrupting the field teams. We continue to run and extend it.
6 months
From first second-generation commit in March 2026 to production go-live on 28 August 2026
Release history
10,000+
Farmer and policyholder records carried into the new platform (10,665 client and 10,001 user rows processed)
Migration report against the July 2026 production snapshot
766
Automated tests on the rewrite across 145 endpoints and 24 controllers

Health Insurance Claims Administration Platform
A claims platform in continuous production since 2020, with its recent work focused on hardening.
Why Biznovelty
We've done it on a live operation.
A nationwide field program moved to a rebuilt platform without disrupting the field teams.
We treat data as a project, not a script.
Ordered, audited migrations that preserve every identifier, normalize values against reference lists, and report the records that need a human decision.
We make releases routine.
Test suites, staging-to-production pipelines, and even a self-hosted release channel that updates field apps without an app store.
We stay to run it.
We continue to run the rebuilt livestock platform, and our claims platform has been in production since 2020, with its recent work focused on hardening.
Engagement & pricing
Assessment first
A short, fixed-price assessment gives you the staged plan and its cost before you commit to the rebuild.
A budget per stage
Each stage is priced and approved on its own, so you can pause between stages.
Run it with us
Optional hosting, support, and new features after switch-over (see Managed Services & Support).

Frequently asked questions
No. Some parts are worth keeping and wrapping with a clean API; others need replacing. The assessment tells you which, and why.
Tell us about the system that's holding you back
In a 30-minute call we'll ask what it does and what hurts, and tell you whether to keep it, wrap it, or replace it.
